✅ Katarolu is generally classified into two varieties: The Nil katarolu, which produces blue flowers, and the Ela katarolu, which produces white flowers. Known in Ayurveda as Aparijita, Girikarnika, and Ge Kurani, butterfly pea belongs to the Fabaceae family. In English, it is commonly referred to as butterfly pea or blue pea, and its botanical name is Clitoria ternatea.
